From Monday 29th July, the Sacconi Quartet will be in residence at the Bristol Proms, part of their role as Bristol Old Vic Associate Artists. They will be performing a series of concerts together with celebrated artists such as singer Jon Boden and cellist Guy Johnston.
On 30th July the Quartet will perform Elvis Costello’s The Juliet Letters with Bellowhead frontman Jon Boden, at 10pm. Visit the Bristol Proms website for further details of the concert.
Cellist Guy Johnston will join the Sacconi Quartet for a performance of Schubert’s iconic String Quintet on Thursday 1st August, at 7.30pm.
On Tuesday and Wednesdy the Quartet will be taking part in a ground breaking Hack with digital technologists. The results of this will be showcased in a panel event on Friday 2nd August, at 1pm. The Sacconi Quartet will spend two days intensively working with technologists and producers exploring how new technologies might enhance the live concert experience. The lunchtime talk on Friday will be an opportunity for audience members to experience the fruits of these labours and to have the opportunity to play with some of the work produced.
