Ikon artists in demand from the BBC

Various Ikon Arts Management artists are set to appear on the BBC in the next two weeks, both on the radio and on television, either performing live or being interviewed as guest performers.

This Thursday, Peter Donohoe will perform James MacMillan’s Piano Concerto No. 1 (‘The Berserking’) with the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra at Glasgow’s City Hall under Carlos Miguel Prieto. Peter will give an interview with Radio 3 presenter Jamie MacDougall directly after his performance.

This Sunday morning (8th March), Noriko Ogawa will appear on the Andrew Marr Show, talking about the International Women’s Day celebrations and giving an exclusive live performance of one of Clara Schumann’s Polonaises.

The same evening, Noriko will perform Cecile Chaminade’s Konzertstuck Op. 40 with the BBC National Orchestra of Wales at BBC Hoddinott Hall, Cardiff under the baton of Jessica Cottis. Broadcast live on BBC Radio 3, and presented by Katie Derham, the evening will explore the role of women in classical music, as part of BBC Radio 3’s International Women’s Day celebrations.

In addition, Graham Ross and The Dmitri Ensemble will star as guests on BBC Radio 3’s In Tune on Thursday 12th  March ahead of their performance at Blackheath Concert Halls on the 14th March, where they will perform an exciting programme including James MacMillan’s Seven Last Words on the Cross with the Choir of Clare College, Cambridge.
