June is a busy month for conductor Nicolae Moldoveanu, who is in Malaysia conducting a series of performances with the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra (MPO). Nicolae last conducted the MPO in 2013, and this time he returns to perform as well as conduct, in the grand venue of Petronas Filarmonik Hall, Kuala Lumpur.
Nicolae’s first performance was an organ recital on 4th June of German music by Bach, Schumann and Mozart, finishing with Mendelssohn’s great Organ Sonata No. 2 Op. 65 in C minor.

On 5th and 6th June, Nicolae turned his attention back to conducting for a concert including Beethoven’s Fantasy in C minor for Piano, Chorus and Orchestra, as well as Beethoven’s immense ‘Choral’ Symphony No. 9 with the MPO, the  Transylvania State Philharmonic Choir and various soloists.

Nicolae’s final performances will conclude with ‘Opera Magic’ with the MPO on 13th and 14th June.
