Ikon Arts looks forward to a jam-packed festive season in London

The Ikon Arts team are looking forward to an exciting and busy season of concerts in London during the festive season.

Here’s a flavour of what’s coming up:

  • Noriko Ogawa will give a recital at The Chopin Society in London’s Westminster Cathedral Hall, with a programme of Debussy, Motoharu and Chopin | 22 November
  • Stile Antico will perform ‘In Pace: Music for Compline’ at Wigmore Hall  – a programme including sublime Tudor motets as well as the world premiere of Nico Muhly’s Gentle Sleep | 27 November Clare Choir - Loft (resized)
  • The Choir of Clare College, Cambridge will join with the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment plus guest soloists to perform Handel’s Messiah at Union Chapel (directed by Graham Ross) | 3 December
  • Janina Fialkowska will be a guest performer at the MacMillan Cancer Support Christmas Concert at the Guard’s Chapel in London, performing alongside the London Contemporary Orchestra and other guest soloists| 3 December
  • Ex Cathedra will perform ‘Gaudete!’, a programme featuring delightful Christmas music and readings from the 13th to 18th centuries at Milton Court, Barbican |5 December
  • Stile Antico will perform ‘A Wondrous Mystery’ – a programme including Clemens non Papa’s glorious Christmas Mass Pastores quidnam vidistis alongside traditional carols and motets, at the Temple Winter Festival | 15 December
  • 8SA 2014 credit. Eric Richmond-lo resEx Cathedra will perform ‘Christmas Music by Candlelight’ at the St John’s Smith Square Winter Festival; a mixture of old and new seasonal favourites interspersed with festive readings | 15 December
  • The Choir of Clare College, Cambridge will perform a delightful festive programme including the late John Tavener’s Ex Maria Virgine: A Christmas Sequence at St John’s Smith Square Winter Festival (directed by Graham Ross) | 18 December
