Janina Fialkowska, “one of the ‘Grandes Dames’ of Piano Playing”
(Frankfurter Allgemeine), will celebrate her 65th Birthday on 7th May 2016. To celebrate this milestone she has embarked upon a major year-long Birthday Celebration Tour around the world, presenting a new Schubert Anniversary Album (ATMA Classique).
Janina’s celebratory tour brings her to the UK for a number of performances, including several with the Sacconi Quartet.
Her first UK date was on 19th February at Belfast University, for a masterclass and Chopin recital which opened the International Festival of Chamber Music 2016 (recorded by the BBC).

3rd May: London, Royal College of Music (piano masterclass)
5th May: Nottingham Lakeside Arts with the Sacconi Quartet
26th May: London, St. John’s Smith Square with the London Mozart Players
This will be the LMP’s final concert in their highly successful new concert series Mozart Explored: 1783
29th May: London, The Chopin Society, Westminster Cathedral Hall with the Sacconi Quartet
27th July: Cheltenham Festival

8th May: Augsburg, Germany, German Mozart Society with the Sacconi Quartet
“Absolutely Mozart – Janina Fialkowska and Sacconi String Quartet” – Janina performs Mozart with the Sacconi Quartet in the birthplace of Mozart’s father Leopold. This concert will be recorded by the Bayerische Rundfunk.
