Conductor Dominic Peckham has recently launched Five15, a ground-breaking new musical venture championing the musical talent of women composers with London Oriana Choir (LOC).
Over the next five years Dominic and the LOC aim to commission 15 new works by five women, as part of a wider programme of outreach and performance activities to raise the profile of classical music written by women across the UK, as well as helping to encourage and develop the talents of new young writers.
The project began with a new commission by Cheryl Frances-Hoad in a special concert at Cutty Sark Royal Museums Greenwich (where the choir is in residence).
Dominic Peckham appeared on BBC Radio 3’s In Tune to launch and discuss the project. You can listen again to his interview here.
