The Sacconi Quartet’s new disc of Beethoven and Mendelssohn String Quartets has been highly praised since its release with Sacconi Records earlier this month:

The disc pairs Beethoven’s monumental Op. 132 quartet with Mendelssohn’s dramatic response to it – his Op. 13 quartet. Recorded over the past two years, this is the first time these two pieces have been presented together on CD, and the disc is the quartet’s most important recording undertaken so far.
This year, the quartet celebrate their fifteenth anniversary.
