Orchestra of The Swan have been shortlisted for a 2022 Gramophone Award. Their ‘Labyrinths’ Album is nominated in the Spatial Audio category alongside the New York Philharmonic with John Williams and Sinfonia of London with John Wilson.
Labyrinths takes inspiration from their latest mixtape album of the same name, which has been streamed over 1.5 million times since its release in November 2021 on Signum Records, and named Scala Radio’s Album of the Week. It intertwines music by Syd Barrett (Pink Floyd), Trish Clowes, Maxwell Davies, Purcell, Vaughan Williams, Mozart, Schubert and Bartók, including orchestrations by the Swan’s Artistic Director David Le Page.
