Further to her BBC Proms début last week Japanese pianist, Noriko Ogawa, has received critical acclaim for the performance.

Performing Malcolm Arnold’s Concerto for two pianos (three hands) with Kathryn Stott the Telegraph (read the full review here) described the performance as making “the most of the unusual sonorities, revelling in the brittle tintinnabulation that the pianos and percussion set up from the start”.

Bachtrack (full review) praised Noriko and Kathryn’s teamwork and energy and Classical Source (full review) highlighted their uniformity.

Listen to Noriko’s performance with Kathryn Stott and the BBC Concert Orchestra (conducted by Barry Wordsworth), which was broadcast live on BBC Radio 2 and 3, on the BBC Proms website here.
