Elizabeth Watts‘ tour with the Britten Sinfonia begins this evening at Kings Place in London. The programme is based around the theme of ‘Britten in America’, and is centred around Britten’s song-cycle Les Illuminations, with Elizabeth Watts as soloist.
Clarinetist Oleg Shebeta-Dragan also joins the group on stage to perform Copeland’s Clarinet Concerto and pianist Huw Morgan performs Young Apollo for piano and strings.

After the Kings Place performance tonight, they then take the programme to Bury St Edmunds on 19th May and Norwich on 20th May
