Melvyn Tan performs in Pride and Prejudice at the South Downs Festival in Alfriston, East Sussex, tomorrow evening. An adaptation of Jane Austen in words and music, with a score by Carl Davis, Melvyn performs it with violinist Irene Duval, with Joanna David narrating.
Melvyn has a long association with Carl Davis’s music for Pride and Prejudice. He performed the original title music to the 1995 BBC television adaptation, starring Jennifer Ehle and Colin Firth.
