The Ligeti, Carducci and Solem Quartets perform a rare fully live performance of Reich’s energetic Triple Quartet, alongside Different Trains and WTC 9/11. These three leading UK quartets are each known for their insights into contemporary music and their adventurous programming. They come together to celebrate the 90th birthday of a musician who has influenced generations of fellow composers:
Following these concerts, there will be a Reich-infused classical club night in the QEH foyer, featuring well-known works performed by some members of the quartets including Freya Goldmark, who will perform Reich’s Violin Phase:
