Taking place from the 13th to 15th September, the Kings Place Festival and will feature over 100 musical and arts based concerts and events. In partnership with the festival, Ikon Arts Management (in collaboration with the Songlines Encounters Festival and the London A Cappella Festival) is presenting five concerts (curating the largest number of events for the festival) with performances from The Songmen and Monooka’s Caravan in Hall Two for just £4.50 and free foyer performances from Vive, The Buzztones, and Orquesta Estelar.
The Songmen will be performing their jazz programme Midnight, a cool collection of jazz and pop songs, complimented with folk and spiritual favourites from the group’s lighter repertoire on Saturday 14th September at 11.45am on Hall Two. Performing on Saturday 14th September at 1.45pm in Hall Two, Monooka’s Caravan is a powerful new collaboration of award winning Romanian singer-songwriter, puppeteer and actress Monooka with Romanian Cymbalist Cristi Vasile Cozma and three Balkan music specialists from the UK: Meg Hamilton, Matt Bacon and Paul Moylan.
