The Sacconi Quartet today begin rehearsals for an exciting new collaboration with Dutch harpist Lavinia Meijer. The ensemble will be performing with Lavinia in a concert on Wednesday 8th January at the Stadsschouwburg and Philharmonie Haarlem near to Amsterdam. Tomorrow’s concert will include the Bax ‘Quintet for Harp and Strings’ and Menotti’s ‘Cantilena e scherzo’ for harp and strings, and marks the official beginning of this new collaboration.
