Conductor Dominic Peckham is set to make his debut with the English National Opera as Guest Chorus Master for their groundbreaking new commission by Julian Anderson, ‘Thebans’. Rehearsals are underway, with the opening night taking place on Saturday 3rd May.
‘Thebans’ is an exiting collaboration between composer Julian Anderson and playwright Frank McGuinness, depicting Sophocles’ Theban tragedies. It is directed by De Nederlandse Opera Artistic Director Pierre Audi, and is conducted by ENO’s Music Director Edward Gardner.
