We are delighted to be celebrating our 10th anniversary this week, as we herald the successes of our long-time artists, festivals and concert series.
Stile Antico – one of the company’s first artists, and now recognised as one of the foremost early music choral ensembles in the UK – was among the first to send a special sung video message. ‘Birthday’ messages have also been received from The King’s Singers, the Choir of Clare College Cambridge, Sacconi Quartet, Elin Manahan Thomas, Noriko Ogawa, Andreas Boyde, Nicolae Moldoveanu, Daniel Tong, She’Koyokh, Kate Gould, and Katherine Bryan.
Ikon Arts Management was founded in November 2006 by Costa Peristianis and Holly Skelton, originally working with vocal super-group the Swingle Singers before expanding to create a choral specialism which included Stile Antico, Tonus Peregrinus, and VOCES8. Artists now include Peter Donohoe, Michael Collins, Sacconi Quartet, Janina Fialkowska, Elin Manahan Thomas, and the Choir of Clare College Cambridge, amongst many others.
Alongside the core artist management work, Ikon Arts also runs the chamber music concert series Eaton Square Concerts, based at St Peter’s Church in Belgravia, which also celebrates its 10th anniversary this year.
In addition, Ikon Arts curates and produces the annual London A Cappella Festival, held at Kings Place, one of the capital’s only dedicated singing festivals.
Klezmer band She’Koyokh will be helping Ikon Arts celebrate this milestone at their performance at Wimbledon Music Festival on Monday 21st November, at 7.30pm.
