This year the Sacconi Quartet celebrate the tenth Sacconi Chamber Music Festival in Folkestone, Kent
from 19 – 21 May.
This year’s festival sees a jam-packed schedule of concerts at St Mary and St Eanswythe’s Church, Folkestone:
- Friday 19th May, 7pm
- Saturday 20th May, 6pm and 9.30pm
- Sunday 21st May, 3pm and 7pm
Guests include the Wihan Quartet, Alasdair Beatson (piano) and Lavina Meijer (harpist) with performances including the Mendelssohn and Enescu Octets, Schubert’s Trout Quintet and Death and the Maiden, and Beethoven’s Archduke Trio. The final performance of the festival will be Dvorak’s Piano Quintet No.2 in A major, Op. 81 (with Alisdair Beatson) which was voted in by the Sacconi Friends.
