Eriks Esenvalds has been in Shenzhen, China, for a project which included him writing a new piece for the Shenzhen Lily Choir called “Song of the Flower”. Eriks gave masterclasses alongside the choir’s conductor, Manxue Hu, and had the opportunity to hear a concert of his music. It was his first visit to China, and he looks forward to returning for future projects.
