Ikon Arts Management welcomes the young, dynamic, internationally-renowned vocal ensemble The Marian Consort to the artist roster, adding to the company’s vocal specialism.
The Marian Consort is recognised for its freshness of approach and innovative presentation of a broad range of repertoire. It has performed across the UK and Europe, at some of the most prestigious festivals and venues including the Barcelona, Valencia and Brighton Early Music Festivals, and the Leipzig A Cappella Festival. In 2016 the ensemble’s Arts Council England-funded concert drama ‘Breaking The Rules’ (written by Clare Norburn and directed by Nicholas Renton) toured to 13 venues across the UK . The Marian Consort records exclusively for Delphian Records and was nominated for a Gramophone Award in 2017 for ‘Stabat Mater: Sacred Choral Music by Lennox and Michael Berkeley’.
The Marian Consort is director by Rory McCleery, a freelance singer, choral conductor and academic.
