Can Çakmur’s Liszt-Schubert: Schwanengesang has been selected as ‘Choc de Classica‘ and ‘Album of the Month’ in the March edition of Classica; as well as the ‘Album of the Month’ in International Piano Magazine.

Jérémie Bigorie from Classica commented “The 24 year old Turkish pianist, Can Çakmur, achieves second BIS record with astonishing maturity. The young prodigy has become a master.”

Bryce Morrison from International Piano commented “With this, his second album for BIS Records, 23-year-old Turkish pianist Can Çakmur offers a revelatory view of Liszt the transcriber and Liszt the dark-hued prophet of his final years. Rarely can the scope of Liszt’s extraordinary genius have been more potently caught. … This is an album to haunt the mind and imagination, and it is perfectly recorded.”
