Against the dramatic backdrop of the derelict Leas Pavilion in Folkestone, the Sacconi Quartet have filmed a moving rendition of Jonathan Dove’s ‘Out of Time’.

The film, set for release on 10th March, will be available to buy and stream exclusively on Amazon with all proceeds going to Hands Up Foundation, a young and innovative charity that delivers aid directly and effectively to Syrians in need.

Produced by TMRW CO, the intimate film was shot in the Leas Pavilion, a magnificent but derelict Victorian theatre atop Folkestone’s cliffs. The film was part of a successful local campaign to save and restore the theatre to its former glory.

The Sacconi Quartet have a close relationship with Jonathan Dove, who is writing a string quartet for their 20th anniversary (to be premiered at Wigmore Hall in November 2021).

Folkestone is fast becoming a classical music destination and the Sacconi Quartet have held an annual Chamber Music Festival there since 2007.
