Tai Murray performed with Chineke! Orchestra as part of their 10th anniversary tour earlier in the Autumn. They performed 9x concerts across Europe. They performed the Beethoven Triple Concerto with cellist Sheku Kanneh-Mason and pianist Isata Kanneh-Mason, conducted by Roderick Cox.

Here is a selection of reviews from the concerts:

“Ludwig van Beethoven’s Triple Concerto in C major, Op. 56, gave the orchestra and three soloists the opportunity to shine … Tai Murray (violin), Sheku Kanneh-Mason (cello), and Isata Kanneh-Mason (piano) underscored their international reputation with this demanding and popular work. “

“Chineke means “Wow!” in Nigerian, and that perfectly sums up the impression left by this concert … The three communicate with each other with a naturalness that speaks of deep familiarity”
Tagesspiegel

“the prominent soloists Tai Murray and Sheku Kanneh-Mason play their parts for violin and cello so elegantly, so smoothly, so wittily”
VAN Magazin

“Murray’s violin, nuanced and blithe, was always pleasant company.”
The Times

“…a discovery this evening was…Chicago-born violinist Tai Murray. Clearly a chamber music enthusiast, she possesses a commanding yet unobtrusive presence and… impeccable virtuosity and intonation. When the violin and cello converse and answer each other, as often happens, one truly feels they breathe and sing as one.”

“Chineke! Orchestra thrilled audiences at the Brucknerhaus in Linz… Outstanding violin soloist: Tai Murray.”
OÖNachrichten

“Violinist Tai Murray, cellist Sheku Kanneh-Mason, and his sister, pianist Isata Kanneh-Mason, do not try to push themselves into the foreground, but rather act in rare harmony as an ensemble. It is precisely because everyone is pulling in the same direction that they achieve the feat that the Chineke! Orchestra promises in its name: to set a brilliant exclamation mark, both musically and, above all, interpretively. Come back soon!”
Abendzeitung

“All three combined very well…Delicate opening strings prelude the cello and violin contributions – frequent discrete glissando from Murray standing out… A dance form of busy rondo captured the imagination of the Butterworth Hall audience who fully appreciated the efforts of the three making up the ‘dream team’.”
