Ikon artists at this year’s Ryedale Festival include:
12th July – 2nd performance of Speak of the North with Claire Booth and Christopher Glynne (it received its premiere at the Aldeburgh Festival in June)
13th July – Kafka Fragments with Claire Booth
16th July – part of the Ryedale Festival Ensemble for a concert of works by Purcell and Tippett
20th July – Melvyn performs with Dame Harriet Walter and violinist Irène Duval in a one-act theatrical retelling of Pride and Prejudice with music by Carl Davis.
21st July – Sledmere House and Church are the venues for two short concerts, both performed twice, with the audience changing places after a picnic interval.
